Two days before

Sister Ann is in town to keep make me laugh and keep me distracted. She also plans to spend the night with me after surgery (because Laurel Bellows and Joan Beugen -- my bossiest friends -- insist I have company).

On Monday, Ann, my sister-in-law Susan and Dan Roberts all plan to keep Jack company in the family waiting room. If anyone wants to join them, it sounds like a fun group.

  1. Report from Sister Ann- Usually I take care of the Social Work side of the issue and Sister Carole upholds the nursing side but I now have to handle both aspects of health care advocacy. As long as I don't have to do the surgery, I am up for the challenge.
All of Judi's support system will want updates on Judi's hair as it is right up there with the grandchildren as top priorities. All systems indicate, color and straightening are holding up nicely. The cut is a little overgrown but that is strategic, so that the hair can be tied back in a pony tail. The blog will contain reports as to how that is working.
How is Judi's mood? Still positive, relatively calm with the three D's coming in handy: four D's actually, diversion, denial, distraction and drugs. (just to sleep)
How is Jack holding up especially with my visit? Overly nice and accommodating. It is making me nervous.
Messages from all of Judi's friends are appreciated.
looking forward to keeping you posted.
    Ann
